The district administration in Indore has begun the process of granting land ownership rights to residents of 29 villages that were integrated into the municipal corporation boundaries. Back in 2014, these villages were included in the municipal limits. Those living on residential land in these villages or their successors who do not have a lease can now apply for a lease under land holding rights. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, during a recent meeting in Indore, has issued instructions pertaining to this matter.
Currently, property owners in these 29 villages encounter difficulties in selling their homes or securing loans for construction due to the absence of registration, lease, or other documentation. In accordance with the circular released by the Revenue Department on September 24, 2020, interested individuals may submit applications for land holding rights. Successful applicants will receive a 30-year lease, allowing them to easily obtain loans and sell or transfer their property as needed.
On September 29, 2024, camps will be set up at tehsil offices in Juni Indore, Malharganj, Rau, Bicholi Hapsi, and Kanadia to receive applications. Once verification is completed, eligible beneficiaries will be granted leases under land holding rights.
SDM Rau Vinod Rathore mentioned, “Online lease applications will be accepted at the camps. Applicants need to bring essential documents such as an electricity bill, water supply bill, any official correspondence or documents regarding the plot, the address listed in the 2011 census, property tax receipt from local authorities, and the name/address in the voter list.”
